Negotiations have commenced for the release of at least 287 abducted students and educators from Government Secondary School and LEA Primary School, Kuriga 1, situated in the Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
According to a reliable source within the Kaduna State Government House, who requested anonymity due to security concerns, the state government has initiated contact with the abductors through a private negotiator (identity withheld) in a bid to secure the safe release of the students and teachers.

Addressing the local residents, he stated, “In my capacity as your elected governor, I am assuring you that by the grace of God, all the children will return unhurt.
