Protesters Storm APC Secretariat In Akure, Contest Ondo APC Governorship Primary Results (Video)

Some members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State marched through the streets of Akure on Sunday, voicing their discontent over alleged irregularities and biased conduct during the ward primary election held across the state on Saturday. The primary election aimed to select the party’s candidate for the upcoming November 16, 2024 governorship election in the state.

Reports from Naija News indicate that the election was riddled with violence, irregularities, and a shortage of election materials. In a video circulating on social media, protesters can be seen converging on the APC state secretariat in Akure, demanding the annulment of the ward primaries.

The protesters expressed their dissatisfaction through various songs and chants, highlighting grievances with the conduct of the ward primaries across the state’s 203 wards. Many of them are ardent supporters of aspirant Olushola Oke, brandishing placards urging the national secretariat to remove the chairman of the primary election committee, Kogi State Governor Usman Ododo.
