Argungu gave the warning during a supervisory visit to the academy, where he led a high-level delegation to monitor the 2024 Post-JAMB screening process.

In his address, the PSC Chairman emphasized that the admission process must be carried out with integrity, fairness, and a commitment to equity. A statement released by the commission’s spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani, highlighted that Argungu urged candidates to avoid unethical practices. He said, “Any candidate attempting to offer money for consideration will be immediately disqualified. The process must be based on merit, transparency, and fairness.”

Argungu further stressed that the PSC will ensure that the academy operates with accountability and transparency, stating, “The academy must be run on merit, fairness, and integrity.”

During his visit, the PSC Chairman also inspected key facilities at the academy, including the moot court, clinic, library, lecture halls, and screening centers. Noting some technical issues with malfunctioning computers, he directed immediate action to ensure smooth operations during the screening process.

Argungu praised the academy’s leadership, especially the Commandant, AIG Abubakar Sadiq, for implementing innovative measures such as computer-based testing, which allows candidates to view their results immediately after submission. He commended the transparent nature of the process, which he said ensures accountability at all levels.
