During the ceremony, Mrs. Mary Ubani from PUNCH Nigeria Limited’s Digital Advert Unit received the award from popular actress and lawyer, Winihin Jemide, amid applause and commendations.

Omagbemi Ogbe, managing partner of GLG Communications, highlighted The PUNCH’s ethical journalism, investigative prowess, and its comprehensive coverage of national and international news as reasons for the award. She praised the newspaper for its fearless approach in holding those in power accountable and shedding light on public interest issues.

Arise News TV and Nairametrics were also honored in the categories of television and digital media respectively at the awards ceremony.
