Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have arrested more than 100 suspects — including popular Lagos socialite and nightclub owner Mike Eze Nwalie Nwogu, better known as Pretty Mike — following a midnight raid on Proxy Night Club, located at 7 Akin Adesola Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
The operation, which began in the early hours of Sunday, October 26, 2025, was based on intelligence reports indicating that the club was hosting a drug-fueled party. According to an NDLEA statement, officers recovered multiple cartons of illicit substances, including Loud (a potent strain of cannabis) and laughing gas (nitrous oxide), from both attendees and the club’s storage facilities.
“NDLEA operatives, who had infiltrated the party around 11 p.m. on Saturday, disrupted the event by 3 a.m. on Sunday,” the agency said, confirming that all suspects were taken into custody for screening while evidence was secured for investigation.
In separate operations, NDLEA agents at Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) intercepted 70 parcels of cocaine concealed in cocoa butter containers bound for London, leading to the arrest of a Lagos cargo agent, Lawal Mustapha Olakunle, and two other suspected accomplices. Similarly, a Lesotho national was arrested in Enugu while attempting to export methamphetamine to the Philippines, and large-scale seizures of skunk, Tramadol, and skuchies were recorded across multiple states including Kogi, Ondo, Kaduna, and Lagos.
The NDLEA reaffirmed that these operations were part of its nationwide crackdown on drug trafficking networks, warning that “there will be no hiding place for drug syndicates anywhere in Nigeria.”
