Raphinha Dominates Again As Barcelona Star Claims Another La Liga Monthly Award

Published

Barcelona captain Raphinha has been named the La Liga Player of the Month for September, securing the individual award for the second consecutive month.

The Brazil international previously won the honour for August after making an impressive start to the new campaign under Barcelona manager Hansi Flick.

Raphinha continued his strong form throughout September, contributing goals and assists as Barcelona maintained their impressive run in the league. He scored against Valencia and provided two assists during Barcelona’s victory over Levante.

The forward also delivered influential performances against Racing and Sevilla, with his attacking contributions helping Barcelona maintain their momentum.

Raphinha faced competition from several prominent forwards for the September award, including Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe, Atletico Madrid’s Jonathan David, Rayo Vallecano’s Sergio Camello and Elche striker Fer Nino.

The latest recognition comes as Raphinha continues to adapt to a new role at Barcelona. Rather than operating primarily from the wing, the Brazilian has increasingly been deployed as a central striker under Flick.

The positional change has allowed the Barcelona captain to become more involved in central attacking areas, with his performances translating into consistent goal contributions.

However, Raphinha’s impressive run has been temporarily disrupted by an injury, leaving his availability for Barcelona’s upcoming fixture against Getafe uncertain.

According to Bush Radio Academy, Raphinha’s consecutive monthly awards highlight his strong start to the campaign and his growing influence in Barcelona’s attack under Flick.
