Burna Boy’s remark came in response to a Davido fan who labeled him an “ode” for his recent loss of four Grammys.

Commenting on a post on Burna Boy’s X handle, the Davido fan, using the DMW boss as his profile picture, wrote, “Ode, bottled four Grammys.” Burna Boy retorted, “The real joke is in your display pic.”

After the fan changed his profile picture from Davido to the ‘African Giant,’ Burna Boy later deleted his comment.

Another fan attempted to mock the singer for deleting his comment, but Burna Boy explained that he did so because the troll changed his profile picture.

The fan wrote, “Burna Boy can’t stand on his word? He backed down?” to which Burna Boy replied, “Didn’t you notice that he changed it to my picture? Am I the joke?”

Despite Burna Boy deleting his comment, it has continued to attract criticism on social media, with many condemning his statement.
