In an emotional Instagram post on Wednesday, Daniels described the past few months as a deeply challenging period that tested her resilience.

She wrote, “The past few months of my life have been nothing short of heavy—a season that pressed on my chest and asked, ‘So, what are we doing next?’ It shook me to my core, and everything I had ever known seemed to be drowning right in front of me.”

Despite the emotional toll, Daniels credited her survival to the unwavering support she received from her family, friends, and the public. “I didn’t drown because I was carried by overwhelming love, support, patience, and understanding—and for that, I am forever grateful,” she said.

The actress explained that her decision to undergo the drug test was driven by a desire to clear her name and reassure those who care about her. “After much reflection and a few very long conversations with myself, I decided to take this test because I owe it to the people who stood by me, who love me, and who look up to me. Integrity matters. Accountability matters. Peace of mind especially matters,” she stated.

Daniels addressed the hurtful online claims labelling her a drug addict, calling the rumours unfounded. “I looked at myself in the mirror repeatedly, searching for this so-called addict. That’s when it hit me—people often project their fears, insecurities, and negativity onto you. Projection is not reality, and noise is not truth,” she explained.

Reflecting on personal agency, Daniels added, “Here’s the choice we all have to make: Do you allow yourself to be defined by other people’s opinions, or do you create your own narrative? As for me, I choose the latter every single time. The same mouth that was used to spoil my name is the same mouth that will build it back up.”

Describing this chapter of her life as one of self-discovery and growth, Daniels expressed gratitude for the strength that carried her through. “This chapter is about self-reflection, intentionality, and becoming even more aware of who I am and where I’m going. I thank God endlessly for His grace, strength, and guidance—because He has carried me through it all. I’m still standing, still growing, and just getting started.
