The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) intensified its efforts to address price inconsistencies within local markets by conducting a monitoring operation at Masaka market in Nasarawa State last Friday.

This move is part of the commission’s broader strategy aimed at ensuring adherence to pricing, quantity, and quality standards among sellers of consumable goods nationwide.

In a recent development, FCCPC carried out inspections at two 4U Supermarket branches in Wuse 2, Abuja. During the operation, the Commission confiscated 94 bags of expired goods and other items. Consequently, the outlet situated at 58 Adetokunbo Ademola Street, Wuse 2, was forced to cease operations.
