Religious Leader Urges Muslims To Avoid Celebrating Sallah In Bars

A stern warning has been issued to Muslims across the nation, urging them to abstain from engaging in social activities that contravene Islamic teachings during the celebration of Sallah.

Mallam Musa Bello, an esteemed Islamic cleric, delivered this cautionary message on Wednesday at the Gadumo praying ground in Kogi State.

He emphasized that the profound experience gained during the 30-day Ramadan period should serve to fortify the faith of Muslims in the core tenets of Islam. Moreover, he stressed that this spiritual enrichment should translate into improved interpersonal relationships and the promotion of peace within society.

Rather than resorting to the beer parlor, Mallam Bello urged Muslims accustomed to such practices to utilize the occasion for introspection, contemplating ways to uplift the material well-being of their communities and contribute positively to societal advancement.

Expressing his disapproval, he condemned the habit of certain Muslims who, immediately after leaving the prayer ground, frequent beer parlors, deeming such behavior as incompatible with Islamic values.

Furthermore, the cleric called upon those individuals recognized for their extensive devotion to prayer and Quranic recitation in mosques, yet implicated in extortion, to reassess their conduct. Instead, he encouraged them to engage in productive economic endeavors to support their families.

In conclusion, Mallam Bello offered prayers for the attainment of peace in Kogi State and Nigeria as a whole.
