The Honourable Minister of Regional Development, Engr. Abubakar Momoh FNSE, on Friday joined dignitaries in Warri, Delta State, for the commissioning of the newly completed NDDC Delta State Office Complex, performed by Governor Elder Sheriff Francis Orohwedor Oborevwori.

The Minister praised the Niger Delta Development Commission for completing a project abandoned for years, describing it as “a clear reflection of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda delivering real results.”

Momoh highlighted recently revived federal projects — including the Nwangele Road in Imo, bridges in Akwa Ibom, and the Otitikipa Electricity Project in Ondo — and announced plans for collaboration with the Delta State Government on the Warri–Escravos Road once presidential approval is granted.

Governor Oborevwori commended the NDDC for its renewed efficiency, calling the new edifice “a symbol of partnership between federal and state governments for the good of the Niger Delta.”

NDDC MD Dr Samuel Ogbuku and Board Chairman Mr Chiedu Ebie both reaffirmed their commitment to transparency and people-oriented development, while the Senate Committee on Niger Delta and the House Committee on NDDC pledged continued legislative support.

Momoh’s attendance, they noted, signaled stronger synergy between the Ministry of Regional Development and the NDDC, ensuring that renewed hope becomes tangible progress across the region.
