Reps Member Emerengwa Withdraws Support From Wike, Backs Fubara....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

A Member of the House of Representatives hailing from Rivers State, Boniface Emerengwa, has publicly thrown his support behind Governor Siminalayi Fubara, marking a significant departure from his previous political allegiance to former Governor Nyesom Wike.

Emerengwa, representing the Ikwerre/Emohua Federal Constituency, announced his endorsement during a recent visit to Governor Fubara in Port Harcourt. In an official statement released by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Nelson Chukwudi, Emerengwa criticized the ongoing power struggles within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the state’s political landscape, emphasizing the constitutional role of governors as leaders.

Governor Fubara welcomed Emerengwa’s declaration of loyalty, affirming his administration’s unwavering commitment to fulfilling its obligations to the people of Rivers State, despite distractions.

This move by Emerengwa brings the count of House of Representatives members openly backing Governor Fubara to five, out of the state’s total of 13 representatives in the green chambers.

Among the legislators in the House of Representatives aligning with Governor Fubara are Awaji-Inombek Abiante (PDP-Andoni/Opobo-Nkoro), Boma Goodhead (PDP-Asari Toru/Akuku Toru), Anderson Allison (APC-Okrika/Ogu/Bolo), and Umezuruike (Labour Party-Port Harcourt Constituency 1).
