In a video shared on Instagram, Fayose emphasized that his success stems from divine blessings, not from any influence or contracts related to his brother’s political career.

His remarks come in response to increasing speculation about his business dealings, which he aims to clarify. Speaking partly in pidgin, he stated, “Many of you say I’m spending Ekiti money. My brother did not give me a single job as governor, and I’m saying it boldly.

“If anyone can show where I got even one contract from my brother, I will give you ₦50 million. People attach my success to Ekiti and my brother, but that’s a flat-out lie.”

Fayose expressed his frustration over assumptions regarding his finances and reiterated that he never received contracts from his brother. “I personally didn’t take any contract from him. If you see my name or my company linked to a contract in Ekiti, it’s false. I am not a contractor; I’m a trader and a businessman who believes in hard work.”

He concluded by asserting his commitment to speaking out for the people of Ekiti, regardless of the criticisms he faces.
