Highlighting her commitment to the party during the campaign, the retired colonel revealed that she went to great lengths, selling all her properties to fund various activities such as buying food items, bags, and customised shirts for distribution.

However, she claimed that her dedication was met with indifference and abandonment by both Peter Obi and the LP National Chairman, Julius Abure. Despite her sacrifices, she felt unsupported after the traumatic incident at her polling unit while defending the Labour Party.

Chinyere expressed her disappointment, stating, “I regret joining the Labour Party. I suffered immensely; I endured hardships even as a diabetic patient. It was a painful experience.”

She went on to describe how she worked diligently for the party, providing support to people during the flag-off in Lafia, mobilising an Arewa group from the northern states, and distributing essential items at the grassroots level, all without receiving adequate backing from the LP chairman.

Feeling abandoned and disregarded, she challenged the party leaders, citing her extraordinary efforts on behalf of Peter Obi and questioning the actions of the LP National Chairman, particularly in the distribution of governorship tickets and funds.

In the end, Chinyere’s story reflects her disillusionment with the party and the unfortunate aftermath of her dedication and loyalty to its cause.
