Retired Hon. Justice Mary Ukaego Peter-Odili, formerly of the Supreme Court, has categorically dismissed rumors circulating on social media that she is involved in facilitating President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s interests at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal.
The allegations, purportedly authored by Jackson Ude, asserted that Peter-Odili was engaged in ongoing interactions with the Appeal and Supreme Courts concerning this matter.
In a statement provided to media representatives in Port Harcourt, Chief Felix Enebeli, the media assistant to Peter-Odili, communicated that legal professionals associated with the retired Supreme Court Justice are addressing the defamation stemming from these baseless accusations.
The statement excerpts: “We have taken note of a publication disseminated across social media platforms that targets the character of retired Justice Mary Ukaego Peter-Odili.
In this publication, the author, Jackson Ude, recklessly and maliciously claims that the esteemed jurist is ‘presently negotiating a pathway for Bola Tinubu’ and that she maintains ‘regular interactions with the Appeal and Supreme courts’ in relation to this matter.”
