Rivers Authorities Intensify Efforts To Apprehend Culprits Behind CDC Chairman’s Killing

CP Olatunji Disu conveyed this message during a visit to the family of the deceased at their residence in Port Harcourt on Thursday. The tragic incident occurred on Saturday when unidentified assailants shot Ndidi Livingstone after a church service at the Rumueme Waterfront area in Port Harcourt. The assailants, who were driving a black Sport Utility Vehicle, swiftly fled the scene after firing multiple shots.

Expressing condolences to the grieving family, CP Olatunji Disu assured them that the perpetrators of this heinous act would face justice. He affirmed the commitment of the police force to resolving the case, stating that a nationwide manhunt was underway to apprehend the culprits.

“I empathize with the pain the family is going through and felt compelled to come and commiserate with them. We will not allow this matter to go unresolved. The killers of Ndidi Livingstone will not go unpunished, and we will soon unravel those behind this dastardly act. A manhunt is already underway for the killer squad, and we are edging closer to apprehending them. The police cannot combat crime in isolation, and therefore, we need all the support we can get,” he emphasized.

CP Disu highlighted the importance of public support and cooperation in the fight against crime, urging the community to assist law enforcement in bringing the perpetrators to justice.

Godspower Livingstone, the elder brother of the deceased CDC chairman, expressed gratitude for CP Disu’s visit and appealed for the swift arrest and prosecution of the assailants. The police continue to work diligently to uncover the circumstances surrounding Ndidi Livingstone’s tragic death and ensure that justice is served.
