The incident involving the cultists, who ambushed and killed DPO Bako in a forest within Odumude Community in Ahoada East Local Government Area, has heightened security concerns in the region, which has a history of cult-related activities.
As a result of the incident, unease prevails in several communities within Ahoada East, including Odumude, Odumereni, Odemusoma, Ihugbogo, Odieke, and others.
Despite attempts to contact the Local Government Chairman, Barr Ben Eke, who also serves as the Chief Security Officer of Ahoada East LGA, no response has been received.
Commissioner of Police Emeka personally led a strong show of force in the area, instilling confidence and dedication among the officers and personnel of the Ahoada Police Division for their crime-fighting efforts.
Emeka vowed that the command would imminently conduct planned operations to target criminal hideouts in the region, ensuring that justice is served for the slain and esteemed SP Bako.
