Emphasizing Rotary International’s commitment to disease prevention and control, President Aderogba highlighted the significance of eradicating diseases like hepatitis.
The day’s activities included a symposium on hepatitis, with testing and vaccination administered to a minimum of 50 individuals.
To ensure full protection, the second and third vaccination doses were scheduled for August 28 and September 28, 2023. The club also planned to keep track of vaccination data for proper follow-up and reminders for the subsequent doses.
Rotarian Obioha Elenwoke, the club’s service project chair, stressed the importance of collective efforts in supporting the government’s fight against hepatitis, emphasizing that healthcare responsibilities should not solely rely on the government’s shoulders.
