Royal Exit: Tinubu Reacts To Sudden Death Of Emir Of Gusau

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed profound grief over the passing of the 16th Emir of Gusau, Dr. Ibrahim Bello, who died in Abuja on Friday morning at the age of 71 after a long illness.

In a condolence message released by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu paid tribute to the late monarch, describing him as a selfless traditional ruler who dedicated his life to serving his people and the nation.

“The Emir’s death is a significant loss not just to the Gusau Emirate but to the entire country,” Tinubu stated, adding that Dr. Bello would be remembered for his unwavering dedication, development-oriented leadership, and deep sense of responsibility.

The President also praised the late Emir’s service in the civil sector, where he rose to the position of Permanent Secretary in the former Sokoto and Zamfara States before assuming the throne.

He extended heartfelt condolences to the government and citizens of Zamfara State, the Gusau Emirate Council, and the deceased monarch’s family.

“May Allah pardon his shortcomings and grant him Aljannah Firdaus,” President Tinubu prayed.
