Samklef Explodes: ‘Mohbad’s Father Is Silent, Why Should I Fight Alone?

Nigerian music producer Samuel Oguachuba, popularly known as Samklef, has voiced his disappointment over the lack of recognition from both the music industry and the family of the late singer Mohbad, despite his efforts to seek justice on their behalf.

Samklef questioned why he should continue advocating for justice when Mohbad’s own father has remained silent throughout the controversy.

Addressing the ongoing clash between himself and social media critic VeryDarkMan, Samklef also debunked claims that ₦20 million was paid to access a leaked group chat allegedly linked to Mohbad’s death. According to him, the information came from an insider within the group.

In a recent video, Samklef said:
“VeryDarkMan didn’t pay anyone ₦20 million for that chat. The leak came from someone who was actually part of the group.

“If Mohbad’s father is silent, why should I be the one fighting? I have no personal stake in this matter. Why should I cry more than the bereaved?

“Imagine being insulted despite genuinely trying to help. I’ve sat down and asked myself why we’re even fighting. The family doesn’t appreciate our efforts. Even when the judiciary declared Naira Marley and Sam Larry free, did you see me ranting online? I didn’t question it.”

He added that the entertainment industry had turned against him, making his efforts even more difficult.

Calling for peace, Samklef urged everyone involved to stop the hostility, saying revenge would not bring Mohbad peace, especially since he has yet to be buried.

“My brothers, revenge isn’t the solution—it’ll only prolong the pain. Mohbad’s soul is still not at rest. Everyone needs to cease fire and stop fighting,” he concluded.
