Governor Sanwo-Olu characterized the Supreme Court’s ruling as a confirmation of the popular mandate given to President Tinubu to lead Nigeria from May 29, 2023, to May 29, 2027.
In a press statement issued on Thursday by his Chief Press Secretary, Gboyega Akosile, Governor Sanwo-Olu conveyed his satisfaction with the Supreme Court’s verdict and called on the opposition to collaborate with the President to advance the nation.
He stated, “We have reached the final stage of the political journey, which started over a year ago. Today’s verdict by the Apex Court in Nigeria has decisively declared that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
Governor Sanwo-Olu urged all Nigerians, particularly the opposition parties, to align with the President’s aspirations to guide Nigeria away from its current state towards the desired path of progress.
