Consequently, the holy month of Dhul Hijjah will begin on Friday, June 14, 2024.

The Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia had urged all Muslims across the Kingdom to participate in the crescent moon sighting on Wednesday, as it determines the start of Dhul Hijjah and the timing of significant religious observances.

The Hajj pilgrimage for the year 1445 AH will commence on Friday, June 14. The Day of Arafah, a pivotal day of prayer and reflection during Hajj, will occur on Saturday, June 15.

Subsequently, Eid Al-Adha, the most significant Islamic festival, will be observed on Sunday, June 16, 2024.

Dhu Al Hijjah is a sacred month in Islam, part of the quartet known as Al Ash-hur Al Hurom, which also includes Rajab (the seventh month), Dhu Al Qaeda (the 11th month), and Muharram (the first month).
