Dantata, who spent his final days in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, passed away in the early hours of Saturday.

In a statement issued by the governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Tofa, it was revealed that the delegation included notable figures such as the Emir of Kano, Khalifa Muhammadu Sanusi II; Jigawa State Governor, Alhaji Umar Namadi; and former Jigawa Governor, Ali Saad Birnin Kudu, among other top government officials and dignitaries.

Before departing from the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport, Governor Yusuf paid tribute to the late Dantata, describing him as a father figure whose generosity and humanitarian impact were felt far beyond Nigeria’s borders. He emphasized that the journey to Madina was a gesture of honour and respect for the deceased’s enduring legacy.

Yusuf noted that Aminu Dantata embodied an era defined by integrity, faith, and entrepreneurial spirit—qualities that played a pivotal role in shaping modern Nigeria.

Dignitaries from around the world, including Islamic scholars, business leaders, and family members, are expected to attend the burial rites in Madina.
