Online users soon identified the individuals as Andy Byron and Kristin Cabot, Astronomer’s Chief People Officer, and alleged that they were involved in an inappropriate relationship. The video rapidly gained traction on platforms like TikTok, sparking discussions and memes, especially given Cabot’s HR role.

In response, Byron submitted his resignation. In a statement shared on LinkedIn, Astronomer confirmed:

“Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met. Andy Byron has tendered his resignation.”

This development follows the company’s earlier announcement of an internal investigation into the matter.
