The Director of Communication in the SDP Campaign Council, Faruk Adejoh-Audu, issued a statement to address the situation, accusing the state government of fabricating and disseminating false information ahead of the election.
Adejoh-Audu expressed confidence in Ajaka’s electoral prospects and urged the public to dismiss reports from “an evidently untrustworthy blog….CONTINUE READING
Adejoh-Audu further elaborated, “This audacious fabrication, closely following Bello’s orchestrated farce of a decampment by fake SDP executives a few weeks ago, reveals the palpable desperation within the autocrat’s camp and the manipulated figure he presents as the APC gubernatorial candidate.”
He recalled an incident from August 11, in which individuals from the streets of Lokoja were assembled, dressed in attire provided by the state government, and photographed with Mr. Bello.
This photograph was later presented by Bello as evidence of a group of Zonal and Local Government Executives from the SDP purportedly visiting the Government House in Lokoja to defect.
Adejoh-Audu underlined that despite these deceptive tactics, the SDP candidate, Muritala Ajaka, who officially left the APC in May of the current year, has never engaged with Mr. Bello or Usman Ododo since his defection.
Ajaka holds no incentive to meet with individuals he believes offer nothing but violence, corruption, and chaos.
He concluded by affirming Ajaka’s strong momentum toward a resounding victory and emphasizing that the campaign remains steadfast against misinformation and distractions orchestrated by those attempting to undermine the integrity of the electoral process.
