According to Punch, Muhammed Abubakar, a 26-year-old security guard employed in a building in Sagamu’s Ajaka area, allegedly took the life of an unidentified man following accusations of attempted phone theft. The fatal incident transpired when Abubakar purportedly struck the victim’s head with a large plank, as reported by an anonymous source. Residents, alarmed by the commotion, alerted the Sagamu Police Division, suspecting foul play. Inspector Ojo Alasofe was dispatched to the scene to investigate alongside concerned residents. The source recounted the events, stating that upon arriving at the scene, they found the victim in critical condition, surrounded by a pool of blood. Abubakar claimed the victim snatched his phone while he was using it, prompting a pursuit that ended with the victim being apprehended with the assistance of another security guard.
