Today, the Nigerian Senate confirmed 45 out of 48 ministerial nominees put forth by President Bola Tinubu, with three nominees still awaiting security clearance. During the plenary session today, August 7th, the Senate put the candidates to a series of voice votes, which confirmed the 45 nominees. This comes just over a week after President Tinubu transmitted a list of 28 members to the Senate for approval on July 27th.
