This startling revelation came during a press conference held at Senator Abbo’s Abuja residence on Monday, just a few hours after the Court of Appeal nullified his election into the Senate.

Senator Abbo, who represented the Adamawa North constituency, specifically named Senator Orji Uzor Kalu as one of the senators at risk of being ousted. This move is alleged to be because of Kalu’s non-alignment with Akpabio’s bid for the Senate’s top job.

While voicing his displeasure over the court’s judgment, Senator Abbo described the ruling as a direct assault on democratic norms. He further rallied his supporters to remain resilient and undeterred despite the unfavorable verdict.CONTINUE READING

He was firm in his belief that the election results were in his favor. Contrary to the court’s declaration of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Amos Yohanna, as the rightful winner, Senator Abbo asserted that he secured the win with a lead of 11,000 votes over Yohanna.
