Senator Ahmad Lawan, who serves as the President of the 9th Senate and represents the Yobe North Senatorial District in the National Assembly, is poised to provide assistance to his constituents by distributing 9,000 bags of grains.
This initiative comes as a response to the ongoing challenges faced by the people in his senatorial district and is intended to complement the efforts of both the Yobe State and Federal governments….CONTINUE READIND
In a press release issued by Dr. Ezrel Tabiowo, the media advisor to Senator Lawan, it was announced that the distribution will be coordinated by the Senator Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan (SAIL) Empowerment Foundation across the 60 wards within the Yobe North Senatorial District.
The distribution event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at Filin Katuzu in the Bade Local Government Area of Yobe State.
The assistance package comprises 6,000 bags of rice and 3,000 bags of millet, which will be provided to beneficiaries residing in the six local government areas of Yobe North Senatorial District.
These areas include Bade, Nguru, Jakusko, Karasuwa, Yusufari, and Machina LGAs. The distribution will not only encompass individuals but also extend to Muslim religious groups, Christian communities, and individuals with disabilities.
Furthermore, Senator Lawan is scheduled to officiate the handover of the newly established Federal Science and Technical College in Gashua to the Yobe State Government on the same Saturday.
This technical college, set to commence its inaugural student enrollment later in the year, represents a collaborative effort between the state and federal authorities in bolstering educational infrastructure.
