The election of Ganduje to the national chairmanship took place during the 12th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the APC held at Transcorp Hilton in Abuja on Thursday.

Senator Barau also extended congratulations to Senator Ajibola Basiru, who was adopted as the National Secretary of the APC, expressing confidence that Ganduje’s vast experience in politics and governance, coupled with Basiru’s conflict resolution skills, would reduce internal conflicts within the party.

Similarly, Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu congratulated Basiru on his adoption as the APC national secretary and lauded the wisdom and administrative prowess of both Ganduje and Basiru.

Through a statement from his Chief Press Secretary, Levinus Nwabughiogu, Deputy Speaker Kalu expressed certainty that the newly appointed leaders would elevate the party’s fortunes, given their rich political backgrounds and extensive experience in governance.
