Doguwa criticized the APC for endorsing policies that he believes are detrimental to ordinary Nigerians. “In politics, neglecting seasoned politicians by not assigning them meaningful roles renders them politically inactive, forcing them to seek engagement elsewhere,” he remarked in the statement.

“After careful evaluation of the party’s direction and policy approach, I find myself unable to continue with the APC,” Doguwa explained his decision to defect. He highlighted that several APC policies are not aligned with his political ideology and are causing significant harm to the common citizens of Nigeria.

“I see no relief in sight for the average Nigerian under the current APC strategies,” Doguwa concluded, underscoring his reasons for joining the PDP.
