SERAP Urges State Governors To Disclose Utilization Of N2 Billion Federal Government Palliative

Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has called upon the 36 state governors in Nigeria to provide detailed accounts of how they expended the N2 billion palliative funds allocated to them by the Federal Government.

The organization emphasized that Nigerians are keenly awaiting the release of this information as they have a legitimate right to be informed about the utilization of palliative funds.

SERAP asserted that such transparency and accountability measures would serve to combat corruption effectively.

The letter stated, “We kindly request that the recommended actions be taken within a period of seven days from the date of receiving and/or publishing this letter.”

SERAP warned that if the governors fail to comply with this request within the stipulated timeframe, the organization would resort to all necessary legal actions to compel their compliance.
