Seun Kuti Explodes: Dangote Is Walking Free After Too Many Evils Nigerinas React
Afrobeat singer Seun Kuti has reacted to the accident involving a truck allegedly linked to the Dangote Group, which left Ruth Otabor, sister of reality TV star Phyna, with one leg amputated and struggling for her life.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
In a video posted on Instagram, Kuti condemned the tragedy as a glaring example of how powerful business interests in Nigeria escape proper regulation and accountability—even when innocent lives are lost.
He accused the conglomerate of operating in ways that would never be permitted in other parts of the world, stressing that in developed countries, civil lawsuits alone could have forced the company to pay billions in damages.
Recalling past fatal accidents involving Dangote trucks, Kuti lamented that responsibility is often shifted, while ordinary Nigerians bear the cost in lives and livelihoods.
He said:
“Since I started this life, no man I’ve spoken against in Nigeria reaches Dangote. It’s not because I want his money or access to his house—I’m telling you the truth. These people are vampires; his wealth is blood money.
No country in the world would allow a man to run business the way he does here and still get away with it. Civil lawsuits alone should have buried these companies—they’d have paid billions upon billions in compensation. At one time, 20 children were crushed by his truck, and what did government officials and influencers say? That Dangote doesn’t directly control his trucks—that agents use his name and license. That’s their excuse.
These heartless people only care about their own pockets. Dangote is a danger to Nigerians. He uses our land and money for his businesses, but can the people even afford the food and goods he sells? This is the reality.”
