Mark condemned Anyanwu’s legal maneuvers as a blatant abuse of court processes, alleging that he is trying to unlawfully extend his stay in office despite multiple judgments against him. Speaking in an interview with Arise News, Mark expressed concern that Anyanwu’s legal team has either misled him or he has refused to heed their advice.
He criticized Anyanwu’s repeated attempts to secure a stay of execution from various courts, including the High Court, Court of Appeal, Federal High Court, and Supreme Court, despite consistent rulings against him. Mark emphasized that seeking a stay of execution on a declaratory judgment is legally unfounded and amounts to a deliberate attempt to undermine the judiciary.
According to Mark, Anyanwu’s actions have not only disrespected court decisions but have also subjected the judiciary to unnecessary strain and public scrutiny. He urged the legal community to condemn such tactics, insisting that no politician should be allowed to manipulate the legal system for personal gain.
