His resignation was conveyed in a letter addressed to the PDP Ward Chairman in Agbogugu Ward, Awgu Local Government Area of Enugu State.
In the letter, he wrote:
“I hereby formally tender my resignation as a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
“This decision was not made lightly. The PDP has played a significant role in my political journey, providing me the platform to serve as a Member of the Enugu State House of Assembly, the National Youth Leader, and most recently, the National Secretary of the party.
“For these opportunities to serve and for the trust reposed in me, I remain deeply grateful to the party’s leaders and members at all levels.
“However, I have become increasingly concerned as the PDP continues to drift away from the ideals and vision of its founding fathers — ideals rooted in unity, justice, and equity.
“The PDP, once a symbol of hope and democratic governance, has sadly lost its moral direction and ideological focus.
“After deep reflection, I have reached the painful conclusion that I can no longer, in good conscience, remain in a system that has strayed so far from its original purpose.
“Consequently, I have chosen to leave the PDP and embark on a new, progressive path dedicated to reviving the true values of democracy, accountability, and service to the people — values the party has unfortunately abandoned.”
