Sh*ck Exit! Osun Senator Fadahunsi Dumps PDP Amid Political Tensions

Senator Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi, who represents Osun East Senatorial District in the National Assembly, has officially withdrawn his membership from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The senator conveyed his decision in a resignation letter personally signed and dated June 12, 2025. The letter was submitted to the PDP Ward Chairman of Ward 4, Obokun Local Government Area in Osun State.

Fadahunsi attributed his resignation to what he described as “irreparable and irreconcilable differences,” as well as ongoing legal disputes that have plagued the party at the national level since the 2023 general elections.

He explained that the decision followed extensive consultations with his political allies, family members, and close associates.

Part of the letter reads:
“I hereby formally inform you of my resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), effective immediately. This decision is driven by the unresolved internal crisis and prolonged legal issues that have affected the party following the 2023 elections.

“After thorough consultations with my family, political allies, and friends, I have come to this conclusion. I hope you will accept this decision in good faith. Thank you for your understanding.”

Senator Fadahunsi, a prominent politician from Ijesa land in Osun East, is currently serving his second term in the Senate and has been known as a close ally of Governor Ademola Adeleke.
