The Nigerian striker is now expected to undergo his medical examination, marking the final step in a high-profile transfer saga that has kept Galatasaray fans on edge throughout the summer.

Speaking on the deal, Wazobia FM’s Onyebuchi Onokala—who has been a reliable source throughout the lengthy negotiations—confirmed:
“It’s official: Victor James Osimhen is moving to Galatasaray on a permanent transfer. A final agreement has been reached with Napoli for €75 million, meeting all stipulated conditions. Napoli will also receive 10% of any future sale. Victor fought hard to get Napoli to accept the fifth offer. Medicals are next.”

Italian transfer insider Fabrizio Romano also confirmed the deal, revealing that it includes €5 million in performance-based add-ons and that Napoli secured a 10% resale clause. These incentives helped break a deadlock that had lasted for weeks.

The move marks a return to familiar ground for the 26-year-old forward, who had a stellar loan spell at Galatasaray last season—scoring 37 goals and providing eight assists in 41 appearances. His explosive form played a crucial role in convincing Galatasaray to meet Napoli’s financial terms.

Under the terms of the agreement, Galatasaray will pay €40 million upfront, with the remaining €35 million structured for settlement by June 2026.

However, the deal nearly collapsed over concerns about financial guarantees, as Napoli remained cautious due to unresolved payment issues stemming from past transfers involving Goran Pandev and Blerim Dzemaili back in 2014.

Additionally, Napoli insisted on a controversial “anti-Serie A” clause—which would impose heavy penalties on Galatasaray should Osimhen be sold to any Italian club within two years. Despite initial resistance, Galatasaray ultimately agreed to the condition to push the transfer through.
