SH*CKWAVE: Police Break Silence On Pastor Adefarasin’s Explosive Gun Video

The Lagos State Police Command has exonerated the Senior Pastor of House on the Rock Church, Paul Adefarasin, of any wrongdoing after a viral video showed him holding what was believed to be a firearm.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Command’s spokesperson, Abimbola Adebisi, confirmed that Pastor Adefarasin voluntarily appeared at the state police headquarters in Ikeja for questioning.

“After a thorough investigation, which included interrogation and a cautionary statement from Pastor Adefarasin, it was established that the object in question was a stun gun, not a firearm or lethal weapon,” the statement clarified.

Based on its findings, the police announced that there was no basis to pursue the matter further.

“Consequent upon our findings, the Lagos State Police Command has determined that there are no sufficient grounds to proceed with the case. It is hereby discontinued,” Adebisi declared.

The Command further reassured the public of its commitment to transparency, upholding the rule of law, and safeguarding residents, adding that all incidents of this nature will be properly investigated to prevent misinformation and unnecessary panic.

As of the time of this report, Pastor Adefarasin has not commented on the police decision.
