Sh*ckwaves In PDP As Party Breaks Silence On Atiku’s Alleged Resignation

A senior member of the party’s National Working Committee, speaking to Vanguard in Abuja, downplayed Atiku’s exit, saying it was not unexpected. He emphasized that Atiku had previously left and rejoined the PDP multiple times.
“Atiku leaving PDP isn’t news. He has done it before. Did anything really change?” the official asked.
“Meanwhile, people are suffering. Are we going to let our lives revolve around politicians changing parties?”
He further criticized the media and public for giving too much attention to political defections rather than the deteriorating living conditions of everyday Nigerians.
In a separate comment, Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde also addressed the issue, saying Atiku’s departure was inconsequential to the party’s future.
