Former Senator Shehu Sani has responded to the recent arrest of Omoyele Sowore, the former presidential candidate from the African Action Congress (AAC), by the Department of State Services (DSS).
According to DAILY POST, Sowore, who is also the convener of the RevolutionNow Movement, was detained by the DSS at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos upon his return to Nigeria on Sunday.
In a post on his X account, Sani urged the DSS to ensure that Sowore is treated with dignity and that his constitutional rights are respected throughout the process. He stated: “I have learned of Sowore’s arrest. I appeal for him to be treated with honour and dignity, and for his constitutional rights to be fully upheld.”
