Former Kaduna lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani has offered his perspective on the recent attack by Iran on Israel, asserting that global leaders have fallen short in their response.

Sani expressed his views through a post on his verified social media account on Sunday.

In his statement, the former Kaduna senator remarked, “Iran’s retaliatory drone strike against Israel signals a looming conflict in the Middle East that the international community cannot afford to ignore.

“Despite numerous United Nations resolutions concerning Gaza, they have been blatantly disregarded, showcasing the failure of world leaders to uphold peace and security.”

The conflict between Iran and Israel escalated dramatically on Saturday evening when Iran initiated a series of drone strikes on Israel in response to Israel’s earlier attack on the Iranian embassy in Syria, which resulted in the deaths of several high-ranking Iranian officials.

Iran’s actions defy resolutions put forth by various entities including the United Nations and the United States.
