In the leaked communication authored by R.N. Adepemu, the Director of the DSS’s FCT Command, and titled “Security Alert: Impending Threat By A Coalition Of Banditry Syndicate To Attack Abuja-Kaduna Train Service Along AKTS Corridor,” passengers on the train were cautioned to remain vigilant.
The DSS informed of an impending plot by a coalition of bandit groups to launch an attack on the Abuja-Kaduna train, intending to kidnap passengers for ransom in the near future.
Shehu Sani, reacting to this information through his Twitter account, recalled a similar report that had emerged prior to the previous attack.
He emphasized the importance of taking all necessary precautions to safeguard both passengers and the railway lines. He tweeted, “The report that Bandits will attack Kaduna Abuja Train is worrying. A similar report came before the last tragic attack. All measures must be taken to protect passengers and the rail lines.”
