The NLC and the Trade Union of Nigeria, TUC, have called for a nationwide strike to protest the recent incident in Owerri, Imo State, where Ajaero was physically attacked by suspected political thugs.
In a statement on his official social media account, Shehu Sani expressed his support for the organized labor’s decision, emphasizing that the strike would effectively communicate a strong message to those responsible for the attack on Ajaero.
He believes that taking such action is necessary to deter anyone considering a similar course of action.
Shehu Sani highlights that employing political thugs to disrupt protests and mistreat demonstrators is unacceptable, citing the previous attack on EndSARS organizers at the CBN Headquarters in Abuja.
