Sani took to Twitter, questioning the lack of consultation before dragging Mr. BUA into the party finance committee, “How would they have dragged Mr BUA into the party finance committee without seeking his consent?.”

BUA Group, in a statement released on its official handle, clarified that Mr. Rabiu was not consulted prior to his nomination. The statement highlighted the apolitical stance consistently adopted by Rabiu and BUA Group over the years, emphasizing their commitment to economic growth initiatives and philanthropy through ASR Africa.

The statement reads, “With respect to this, we wish to inform the publishers, our partners, stakeholders, and the general public that Mr. Rabiu has decided to graciously decline the nomination/appointment. This decision is made in light of the fact that he was not previously consulted regarding his inclusion in the list and his inability to commit time due to his demanding schedule.”
