Highlighting Tinubu’s commitment to protecting the freedoms of all citizens, Shettima emphasized the significance of Prophet Muhammad’s teachings as a guiding compass in navigating the complexities of a multicultural society. He lauded the Prophet for leaving behind a template for managing diversity fairly, promoting peace through dialogue, kindness, and tolerance.
In his keynote address on the theme, ‘Searching For A Compass In A Multicultural World,’ Shettima expressed gratitude to the Ansariddeen Attijaniyya’s Secretary General for exemplary guidance and dedication to preserving moral values. He urged individuals to embrace accountability in their deeds, promoting fairness and inclusivity in line with the Prophet’s teachings.
Addressing the challenges facing the nation, Shettima acknowledged the weight of trust placed on President Tinubu by the Nigerian people. He called for reflection and prayer for the President and other leaders, urging citizens to remember their purpose in a world filled with trials and distractions.
Shettima praised the special prayer session organized by the Jam’iyyatu Ansariddeen Attijaniyya, where the Quran was recited 4,444 times for Nigeria and its leader. He emphasized the nation’s duty to ensure freedom of religious practice without fear or discrimination.
Highlighting the importance of internal transformation for societal change, Shettima quoted the Quran, emphasizing that change in condition requires internal change. He encouraged Nigerians to lead by example, recognizing their intellectual, spiritual, and moral capabilities.
