Speaking to a TV presenter at TVC News, a television station owned by President Tinubu, Bwala admitted that he is not a card-carrying member of his own party. He confessed that his support for the current administration stems from his belief in Tinubu, who happens to be his former friend.
Bwala shed light on the current state of opposition politics in the country, emphasizing that Bala Mohammed, the head of his party’s governors forum from Bauchi State, has already declared his support for Tinubu. Furthermore, he revealed that Peter Obi, from the Labour Party, will also back Tinubu.
He clarified that his previous criticisms of Tinubu’s character during campaign periods were merely strategic maneuvers to promote his candidate, Atiku Abubakar. However, with the elections now concluded, Bwala has chosen to openly support Tinubu, his close friend who welcomed him with open arms.
