Shocking Revelation: El-Rufai Accuses Nuhu Ribadu, Uba Sani Of Character Assassination

Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has accused the National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu, of orchestrating a smear campaign against him, alleging that the move is linked to Ribadu’s 2031 presidential ambitions.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Speaking in an interview with Arise TV on Monday, El-Rufai claimed that Ribadu, in collaboration with Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani and the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), is working to damage his reputation.

The former governor asserted that Ribadu sees him as a political threat and is leading efforts to discredit him.

“This entire ‘destroy Nasir El-Rufai’ project was conceived and is being executed by Nuhu Ribadu. He is the mastermind behind it, working hand in hand with Uba Sani to see it through. However, their efforts have not been successful so far,” El-Rufai stated.

He further alleged that Ribadu is attempting to sideline potential political rivals from northern Nigeria in preparation for the 2031 elections.

“Someone is determined to ruin my reputation. Why? Because Nuhu Ribadu wants to run for president in 2031, and he believes he must eliminate any northerner he sees as a competitor,” El-Rufai added.

These accusations come amid a deepening rift between El-Rufai and his successor, Governor Uba Sani, over governance issues in Kaduna State.

Recently, Sani publicly declared that the state was struggling under excessive debt, a statement widely interpreted as a direct criticism of El-Rufai’s administration.
