The National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Felix Morka, has alleged that he and his family have received over 400 threats, including nearly 200 explicit death threats, following his recent comments about Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Speaking during an interview on Arise News on Wednesday, Morka claimed the threats began after Peter Obi suggested that his remarks during a Sunday interview on the same platform were a threat to the candidate’s life.

In the earlier interview, Morka had stated that Peter Obi “had crossed the line many times and should manage whatever he gets,” a comment Obi interpreted as a veiled threat.

Morka denied any intent to threaten Obi’s life and expressed shock at the severe backlash. “Peter Obi’s allegations that my words threatened his life have had serious consequences,” he said. “I have documented over 400 threats so far, about 200 of which are explicit death threats. These threats are detailed and graphic, outlining plans to harm me—some threatening to shoot or behead me. It has even extended to members of my family.”

The APC spokesperson emphasized that these threats were not mere words but explicit and actionable, noting that he plans to submit the documented evidence to law enforcement agencies for investigation and action.

“I categorically deny making any comments that could be interpreted as a threat to Peter Obi’s life. These allegations are baseless. Those behind these threats are acting independently, and I trust that law enforcement will act promptly to hold them accountable,” Morka stated.

He called for calm, urging all parties to approach political disagreements constructively rather than resorting to intimidation or violence.
