Gunmen have k!lled at least six people in a community in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State, Congo.
Sources from the community confirmed the incident to Daily Trust, revealing that one person who was injured in the attack is in critical condition and currently receiving medical attention.
The gunmen reportedly stormed a market in Daffo ward around 7 p.m. on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, opening fire on the victims shortly after the market had closed for the day.
Most traders and customers had already left the premises, leaving only a few behind.
The incident has heightened tension in the area, as various communities in Bokkos LGA have experienced similar attacks in recent times.
