Social Media Erupts As Davido Slams Lagos Governor’s Aide Over Wizkid Praise

Gawat shared a poster for Wizkid’s December 28 show at TBS, praising the singer with the caption: “Ọmọ Wa ni.” Fans quickly chimed in, highlighting Wizkid’s prominence in Lagos.

One fan wrote, “Wizkid is the face of Lagos. Baba Bolu always promotes Lagos.” Gawat responded, “Yes, correct. We are proud of him.”

When another fan brought up Davido, Gawat reiterated that his principal took pride in Wizkid, prompting the question, “Ore oga nko?”

Davido fired back sharply, urging Gawat to move past old issues. Referencing a previous tweet from Gawat, he wrote:

“Bro, it’s been a year, let it go… why e still dey do u… grow up. Since yesterday… let it go nah… cheer up.”

This isn’t the first clash between the two. In September 2024, Davido and Gawat exchanged words over political issues following the Edo State governorship election. The feud ignited when Davido criticized the Independent National Electoral Commission, labeling it dangerous. Gawat, an APC member, responded cryptically, while Davido continued to challenge him, referencing past encounters involving Governor Sanwo-Olu.
